Electroless Nickel

What We Do

Electroless Nickel

Electroless Nickel is an autocatalytic plating process that deposits a bright coating of nickel-phosphorous onto the substrate. It provides excellent wear, abrasion, and corrosion resistance.

Hillock Anodizing offers medium phosphorous (5-9% phosphorous) electroless nickel plating on aluminum alloys, exotic aluminum alloys, steel, stainless steel, and exotic ferrous alloys (ex: invar).

Selective masking and baking options are also available.

Our pre-treatment processes are engineered to obtain superior adherence of the nickel/phosphorous deposit to the metal substrate. Standard procedure requires chemistry optimization prior to every load to ensure every part is plated under the same target conditions. Standard process control includes automatic de-ionized water machine for solution makeups, automatic temperature uniformity, closed loop Ion Exchange DI water rinse system, and bath age (i.e. metal turnovers) control far exceeding industry standards.
