Electrochemical coating process for aluminum that creates a thick, dense porous aluminum oxide layer that is chemically bonded to the aluminum substrate. The anodic coating provides maximum hardness and wear resistance properties along with exceptional corrosion resistance and adhesive bonding properties.
Our process is engineered to maximize these performance properties of the coating while minimizing the risk of burning. Our proprietary sulfuric acid solution was designed to process 2000 series (2011, 2024, etc) and 7000 series (7075, 7050,etc) aluminum effectively by incorporating endothermic chemical additives and complex acid modifiers. The chemistry allows for minimal coating dissolution even when operating at higher current densities.
The PLC controlled rectifiers utilize automatic programs for each alloy and current density control unknown to most other companies offering anodizing. By analyzing the current and voltage patterns for every alloy we have been able to create recipes that eliminate the need for operator input and truly run ‘automatically’. Our process is capable of maintaining thickness tolerances +/-.0002” and ensure coating properties and color consistency.
We are experts in dye and seal innovation and have standard processes for all dye formulations and sealing technologies available to the industry.
